Job Purpose

The Senior Manager, Data strategy and Governanceleads the development of best practice for data strategies and governance across Global Supply Chain. This role is critical in defining processes and roles related data creation, management and obsolescence. The Senior Manager will work directly with various teams across GSC and GPS to drive new strategies and practices; focusing initially on Product Master data but will expand into transactional data across the organization

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable for Market Data Roles
    • Identify and onboard data owners, data providers, data custodians for market process, including planning, warehousing, transportation and sales.
    • Responsible for developing and conducting specific data management training requirements for data custodians.
    • Define and implement Site Data Leads/ Data Custodians role objectives.
  • Accountable for Market Data Process
    • Govern Data Standards and Business rules for data elements in scope of market process.
    • Responsible for running the data management community for internal and external site data leads/custodians.
    • Lead the community of practice for market attributes Data Owners.
    • Support data requirements for improvement project efforts in manufacturing process.
    • Provide subject matter expertise to key business initiatives in data management, including best practices, in manufacturing area.
    • Collaborate with data stewards to define and implement data strategy, policies, and controls to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure and reliable.
    • Lead Process Standardization and Sustainability for manufacturing data management.
    • Perform audits on data roles performance as defined for GPS Organization.
    • Active participant in data governance networks and or boards.
    • Support Data Compliance initiatives for the data attributes in scope.
    • Accountable for monitoring data quality and driving improvement efforts for internal and external manufacturing sites
      • Promoting data quality and ensure data standard alignment and adherence.
      • Guiding business partners and stakeholders to define data quality metrics and objectives
      • Proactively identifying areas for data quality improvements and resolve data quality issues
      • Leading the implementation of new standards for manufacturing data elements in the data monitoring dashboard.
      • Providing monthly manufacturing data performance reports to the leadership, with corrective actions.
  • Accountable for Market elements at the source systems
    • Ensure enterprise data design incorporates global and operational data requirements, identifying and leading their implementation on behalf of the Business.
    • Document existing data attributes and source systems.
  • Research industry and data management trends and recommend best practices for data management processes and procedures.
  • Adopt continuous improvement mindset, promoting operational excellence, process standardization and harmonization.
  • Support development of Digital Excellence culture development and engagement.
Professional Experience And Qualifications

Education
  • B.S. or BA in supply chain, management and/or engineering (biotechnology, biology, chemistry, pharmacy, engineering or related disciplines).
  • Experience across multiple functions and with different types of data management applications desired
  • Operational excellence experience (Green/Black belt or equivalent) preferred.
Experience
  • 3-7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably Planning or Supply Chain Excellence.
  • Good understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Exposure and experience in Biotech/ Pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, principles and practices.
