Strategic Purchaser

Our client is a Swiss company with offices in the USA, Europe and Asia, specializing in the development, production and distribution of high-tech products.

Your tasks

  • Identification and qualification of new suppliers, including contract management.
  • Responsibility for the strategic supplier relationship as well as for the escalation of problem cases from the daily business to the suppliers
  • Conducting negotiations with suppliers
  • Supporting the Supplier Quality Engineering in supplier development and know-how transfer
  • Design and implementation of supply chain strategies for complex special machines, modules, assemblies and services
  • Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams for development projects
  • Execution of global tenders within outsourcing projects for complex special purpose machines, based on open book calculations
  • Analysis of offers, detailed feedback to suppliers on cost potentials

Your profile

  • You are an experience buyer in an international environment, strategic procurement in the area of mechanical engineering
  • Basic technical understanding and knowledge of manufacturing processes would be an advantage
  • Business fluent in English and German
  • Very good IT skills
  • Knowledge of international contract law
  • Convincing communication skills, negotiation skills, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel
