Are you interested in contributing to the heart beat of the Swiss Army? Do you have an affinity to Switzerland? This is a chance of a Life Time.

Working closely with and around the F/A18 and maybe the new F-35 in the near future.

In securing the availability of military systems you will be focusing on the life cycle management of such systems, the Swiss army depends on.

After passing the compliance check: Swiss Security Clearance and ITAR clearance, you may join the top class team providing technical support on the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program near Luzern.
Your daily challenges are but not limited to:

Perform fatigue safe-life and damage tolerances analyses to establish metallic component retirement times and inspections intervals
Verify and check structural integrity by using appropriate analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools
Conduct and lead structural analyses of aircraft structures
Support in service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements to define modifications and /or repair solutions only
Prepare, plan, monitor and document work packages
Be an example for juniors
Your Profile

Having done Swiss Military Service is an advantage
BSc, MSc in Mechanical Engineering (ETH nice to have)
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in structural mechanics, fatigue and/or fracture mechanics
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working on fighter jets
Strong background utilizing classical and hand analysis and finite element methods
Are you able to distinguish between the need of an R&D program or just an off the shelve solution based on your experience? Helping to optimize costs and investments?
Professional English is a must (w/r), German nice to have
Out of the box thinking, see the big picture, sustainable
Feel responsible for the fighter pilots depending on your works, so they can return safely
