Main Tasks

  • Create and review in collaboration with the Chief Office of Airworthiness and other CVEs involved in the project certification relevant documents e.g. Certification Plans, Certification Compliance Sheets, and Certification Reports
  • Responsible for the verification and approval of the compliance demonstration documentation in his area of expertise for the projects assigned to him / her
  • Coordinate on assigned projects with his / her counterparts in the certification authority, project related certification matters as needed
  • Act for assigned projects on certification matters as OoA’s point of contact for engineering and project managers
  • Training and mentoring engineering staff in structural and / or mechanical system certification issues
  • Depending on workload distribution and project prioritization, providing support to design engineering with the creation and / or checking of design and analysis

Requirements / Skill set

  • BSc, MSc in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or equivalent
  • Has a strong background in structural / mechanical system design and analysis
  • Experience with structural / mechanical system certification of repairs and design changes to civil and military aircrafts
  • Candidate must thorough understanding of EASA and / or EMAR part 21 Subpart J (DOA) requirements related to CVE Tasks
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Satisfactory knowledge of German (reading and spoken)
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and must function well in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Priority will be given to suitable candidates with in-depth knowledge of - and experience on F/A 18 and AS332/532
