At Machine Learning Architects Basel (MLAB), we assist and empower people and organizations in designing, building, and operating reliable machine learning solutions. In doing so, our “Effective MLOps” framework enables us to take a novel and holistic

approach. It revolves not only around the latest technologies but also takes cultural aspects, skills, and process adjustments into account. We thereby:
  • Digitalize and automate processes with bespoke data and AI solutions, from use case identification to implementation and operation (MLOps).
  • Engineer, design, and implement unified analytics platforms and end-to-end ML systems.
  • Enable both technical and non-technical teams and individuals to leverage data science, ML, and reliability engineering in an end-to-end fashion.
Tasks

As an intern at Machine Learning Architects Basel, you contribute to team-internal and

customer projects. With your hands-on mentality, you will support us in

developing solutions that enable companies to start and complete their machine

learning journey successfully.

We are looking for interns that have finished or are near the end of their studies. While we

prefer a minimum duration of six months, we are open to the following options:

Your responsibilities will be related to:
  • Requirement Analysis: You will analyze customers’ requirements and define the solution which fits best.
  • Implementation: You will build and run machine learning solutions for our customers using Python.
  • Consulting: You will support our consultants and advice our customers on how to make sense of their data assets.
Requirements
  • Basic skills in data science, machine learning, and software engineering
  • Advanced knowledge of Python
  • Preferably practical experience with cloud services (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • High proficiency in both English and German
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or similar qualification
  • Some experience in developing machine learning applications using Python
  • Self-confident appearance and good communication skills
This position requires applicants to already hold an employer-independent residence permit in Switzerland or citizenship in the EU, Switzerland, UK or Norway for regulatory reasons.

Our team meets at least once per week and works together from our office in Basel. Apart from that remote work is possible and the extent may depend also on customer requirements.
