Supply Chain Management Specialist / SAP MM (80-100%)

In November 2020, ABB announced the planned divestment of its Turbocharging Division. Turbocharging is a successful and profitable Division in a mature market and has been for long a highly self-reliant business within ABB. ABB has decided to take this step, acknowledging that for Turbocharging to realize its full potential going forward, a new setup is required. As the next step, alternative ownership options, including a spin-off to the Swiss stock market, will be assessed, considering value for customers, ABB and the future of the turbocharging business. In this role, you are the interface between the Supply Chain Management Department and our IT-Colleagues. Supporting the operational and strategic purchaser within the Procure-to-Pay process, with the overall target to eliminate process inefficiencies and foster continuous improvement of our master data. Your responsibilities

  • Proactively identifying process weaknesses and eliminate those either by standardization/training or through system enhancements (automation)
  • Leading projects and / or sub-projects in the SAP environment
  • Facilitating workshops to collect business requirements, map requirements and processes, develop necessary product modifications to satisfy business needs
  • Ensuring proper process documentation of the P2P process in the management system
  • Leading the Power User Organization in the business function and ensuring to have the right skills and capabilities within the organization
  • Coordinating and training the first level support in the business function (Power User Organization), acting as 2nd level support (for MM module) and building the link to our 3rd level support
  • Acting as a liaison between the business functions and the SAP team
  • Coordination of testing within the Power User Organization for ERP release upgrades
  • Representing the purchasing department in the material master committee and ensuring continuous improvement within the area of responsibility
  • Power User for Track & Trace Cloud (GS1) and updating of comprehensive and complex master data

Your background

  • University degree, with a focus on Business Analytics, Economics, Supply Chain Management, IT
  • 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management required, preferably in a global/ multicultural environment
  • Several years’ experience as a SAP MM Consultant or SAP MM Power user
  • Excellent project management and change management skills, structured work approach and strong analytical skills, ability to summarize and communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Should be eager to learn, flexible, open-minded and team-work oriented
  • Ability to rapidly solve problems and deal with organizational complexity
  • Excellent leadership skills and collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Ability to lead teams without disciplinary leadership
  • High organization skills with the ability to multi-task several tasks in parallel
  • Strong SAP R/3 skills, especially in MM / PP, experience with SAP Ariba and S4/HANA are an advantage
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Required written and verbal fluency in English and German language
