Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The core team managing our GreenMT sustainability program consists of four persons, with excellent ties to senior management as well as our units throughout the global METTLER TOLEDO organization.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Would Include
  • You will drive the implementation and monitoring and further development of METTLER TOLEDO’s sustainability strategy in a pragmatic way in close cooperation with group functions and business units
  • You will have a key role related to environmental aspects of METTLER TOLEDO’s sustainability strategy with a focus on reducing and tracking greenhouse gas emissions in global operations and across the value chain
  • Furthermore you will facilitate knowledge transfer and training on sustainability across the organization and with suppliers
  • Additionally you will drive the annual submission of company data and documents to various sustainability indices, rating agencies and aggregators
  • You will manage the processes of gathering, aggregating and reporting data for the METTLER TOLEDO group and last but not least you will support the public communication strategy about GreenMT. See www.mt.com/sustainability for an overview of our key communications
What You Need to Succeed

The Following Requirements Are Necessary For This Role
  • You have a bachelor or master degree in business, economics, sciences or other relevant field with at least three years of relevant work experience with a focus on corporate environmental sustainability. Additional training/coursework related to corporate sustainability is a plus
  • You have practical experience with corporate sustainability reporting frameworks, platforms and organizations (e.g. GRI, CDP, EcoVadis, Sedex, Sustainalytics, etc.)
  • We expect strong analytical skills; pleasure and proficiency in working with numbers, calculations, and large data sets
  • You are a professional in using Microsoft Excel and other common business software applications like MS PowerPoint Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is a must, further language skills like German and/or Chinese are of advantage
  • You feel comfortable working independently, while understanding how and when to seek help
This position reports to the Head of Sustainability for the METTLER TOLEDO group.
