THE OPPORTUNITY

Biognosys is pioneering the field of personalized medicine using proteomics with “big data” approaches. This includes opportunities and challenges regarding storage growth and CPU performance. We are looking for a System Administrator who will be part of our IT team.

YOUR PROFILE

• Support users on 2nd and 3rd level with hardware, software, cloud services, connectivity, peripheral issues or other requirements via main IT ticketing system (Lansweeper), in person, via phone or remote access
• Stabile operation of cloud services (MS Azure, M365, Dropbox)
• Stable operations of server and storage infrastructure (MS WIN, Linux, VMs, Hyper-V, NetApp, Synology NAS, WSUS)
• Stabile operation and procedure adherence to backup & archive solutions (Veeam, Veeam M365, Acronis, Backup Exec, Quantum Scalar)
• Setup and maintain user profiles in multiple systems and multiple technologies (AD, AAD, SSO)
• Proper monitoring of IT infrastructure and appropriate alert management (Vectra, PRTG, SpaceObServer, Solar Winds)
• Proper operation of network infrastructure (WiFi, VLANs, Sophos FW)
• Proper operation and up to date of remote access and security technologies (Vectra, SSL, TLS, HTTPS, SFTP, 2FA, DMARC)
• Proper maintenance and management of support technologies of Data rooms (UPS, temp. monitoring)
• Participation in assigned IT projects
• Cooperation with IT suppliers to ensure the delivery of contracted services
• Participate in relevant IT related audits, certifications and compliance activities e.g. GxP, GDPR, information and IT security.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Education in IT, computer science, or similar (ideally Bachelor or Master but not mandatory)
• At least 2 or 3 years of experience as 3rd line engineer or on similar position
• Knowledge of hardware, storage solutions and network components
• Experience with the ITIL processes and ITSM tool(s)
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure
• PowerShell Scripting Experience
• Experience with Active Directory and GPO’s
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange
• Experience with clustering and Hyper-V virtualization
• Basic Linux knowledge (nice to have)
• Basic IT Security knowledge
• Service oriented, accurate, proactive & flexible
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English language
