Job Purpose and Impact

The Systematic Trading Analyst is integrated in the systematic trading team and will generate strategic insights that will promote the company’s competitive position and ultimately grow trading earnings. In this role, you will be a consumer of data working across product lines and will have an important role in the evaluation of complex new datasets and new sources of data we want to trade systematically.

Key Accountabilities
  • Discovery and analysis of in-house and external datasets
  • Coordinate with support teams and be accountable for the full supply chain for data with live trading standards of datasets the systematic trading team uses: ingestion, health checks, audits
  • Research data by communicating with data owners and using data science models to get your own, independent quantitative approach in order to communicate with quant traders.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications
  • Master’s degree or other post-secondary degree, Doctoraate degree Data Science, Computer Science, Math, Engineering.
  • Experience in a software development environment and code management.
  • Fluency in python, sql, github, clouds, servers…
  • Experience with, and understanding of, relational and distributed data systems
  • Advanced capabilities in operations research and solving complex business optimization problems
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience working with data and data warehousing systems
  • Experience in commodities data: weather, freight, S&D, flows
  • Experience with financial data: tick data, futures, options
  • Hands-on deliveries under strict timelines
  • Makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
