We are searching for a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join the team. As technical designer, you will examine sketches and analyze design ideas to evaluate their feasibility, collaborate with designers, manufacturers, and vendors, and use your skill and expert eye to ensure that the best products are produced. We would love to have a talented tech designer who is fashion forward and energetic, understands TOMMY HILFIGER brand value and standard as well as performance, sports and horse riding specifically.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, manufacturers, vendors, and internal and external partners to ensure that product specifications are viable

• Analyze design and develop technical packages, detailed measurement specs, and grading & construction details

• Draft technical details and specify dimensions, materials, and procedures using drawings, rough sketches, specifications and calculations

• Implement design changes and determine required resources within project deadlines to deliver high quality samples and bulk product that conform to company standards and brand value

• Approving fit and trim components and garment construction specifications within development and production timelines

• Evaluates the fit and construction of proto and production fit samples, Review samples

• Edits and corrects patterns and creates patterns from scratch when necessary

• Establish and maintain brand fit, spec and construction consistency and develop and manage Block Patterns Libraries including, E-patterns & Master Slopers

• Communicates with factories to identify and resolve issues with production

• Approving fit and trim components and garment construction specifications within development and production timelines

• Establishing technical quality control requirements and standards and inspect samples and finished products to ensure that they are free from defects

• Handle a range of admin duties

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate’s degree in fashion, technical design, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree is preferable

• 5+ years experience in technical design function, preferably functional and technical sportswear, experienced both womenswear and menswear

• Practical experience with software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MS office and CAD

• Knowledge and experience with patternmaking

• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills

• Phenomenal detailed oriented abilities, strong organizational skill and time management abilities

• Excellent problem solving skills and strong work ethics

• Exceptional written communication skill in English
