As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Server Platform team works across geographies and product areas to enable teams to rapidly create and scale a fleet of standardized, best-practice-compliant services. The team is focused on removing barriers for adoption to make the platform ubiquitous. Increasing the ease of usage of the Server Platform by offering unified, seamless products and tool sets. Overall to reduce the fleet cost for products built on our platform saving money for our customers.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will drive product launches, improve productivity, ensure quality standards, resolve problems, identify trends, determine and execute system improvements, and implement change.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the required software development and project management, cross-functional coordination, and inter/intra team communications to deliver outstanding program outcomes
  • Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other engineering teams to get high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle (build, test, and release on time)
  • Use exceptional communication skills to understand and communicate both engineering issues and project strategy
  • Identify gaps and drive alignment. Solve cross-functional and inter-team issues quickly
  • Manage program/project schedules, identify possible issues and clearly communicate them to stakeholders
