The European Technical Center in Meyrin is the main research, product development and customer support center in Europe. Engineers, chemists and technicians meet new technical challenges every day from research to operations in a constant drive for quality and efficiency.

We look for a Laboratory technician (m/f/d) in material sciences or physics. This position, located in the European Technical Center in Meyrin, will reinforce the research and development group. You will work in a close collaboration with researchers.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
  • Perform analytical and physical testing of polymers
  • Adapt testing conditions or set up new tests or new test method
  • Plan and follow work requests
  • Analyze results obtained / Write reports
  • Communicate the results to researchers or engineers
  • Responsible for equipment (set-up, maintenance, procedures, safety)
A successful candidate must have
  • Preferably a degree or CFC or Bac+2 in Material Sciences or in Physics
  • Experience in generating clear and concise technical reports on laboratory work
  • A good sense of analysis and judgment
  • Experience in safety laboratory
  • Computer literate in Excel, Word
  • Good interpersonal skills and team spirit
  • Good communication skills
  • Independent and proactive with minimal supervision
  • Planning and organizing as well as flexibility should be part of your strengths
  • Ability to coordinate different workstreams going on in parallel, manage multiple priorities
  • Fluency in English and French is essential
