Trade Accountant - Ammonia

About the Unit

Building on its long experience and leading position within global ammonia production, logistics and trade, Yara established the Yara Clean Ammonia unit working towards making carbon-free food production to capture growth opportunities in emission-free fuel for shipping and power, carbon-free food production and ammonia for industrial applications. To join our Finance department we are looking for a Trade Accountant on a permanent basis based in Geneva.

Responsibilities

• Recording and maintaining accurate financial records of all trade transactions
• Reconciling trade account balances with other financial records and statements
• Collaborating with other departments, such as sales, logistics, and purchasing, to ensure the accuracy of trade transaction data, accruals and margins in SAP
• Support operations with daily accounting issues, port costs payments, proforma for customs declaration
• Perform month-end closing tasks
• Managing and reconciling trade account receivable and payable.
• Assist Treasury with allocating incoming payments
• Analysis of actual vs budget lot sheet or contract
• Follow up customer and vendor balances
• Manage Master data requests.
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures on financial reporting
• Support the financial audit process
• Ad hoc financial reports

Profile

• Swiss CPA or equivalent, federal certificates, an academic degree in accounting & controlling
• Minimum 2 of experience in a trading environment / Accounting / Controlling
• Experience with ERP Systems (SAP) and proficiency with the MS Office package, especially Excel.
• Fluent in English, French and good communication skills both verbal and written
• Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently, accurate.
• Autonomous, able to work under pressure and team player
• Multi-task and proactive mindset
