We are currently looking for a Trade Finance Manager. In this role, you will focus on traditional trade finance activities and related operations. In this role, you will operate a large trade finance credit line portfolio with more than 30 banks around the globe.

Trade Finance Manager (f/m)

What you will do
  • You are going to manage Documentary Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, LOIs, Bank Guarantees; Bid- and Performance Bonds among other instruments
  • You are in charge of the execution of factoring & discounting processes with banks
  • You are in daily contact with international banks, insurance companies, internal commercial desks, and Axpo’s support functions (legal, risk and others)
  • You build up excellent relationships with existing trade finance banks, find ways to improve the structures (one-off approval, limit increases, pricing reduction, increase execution timing, manage subfacilities efficiently, etc.)
  • You will support the commercial desks (traders and originators from the gas, power, LNG and LPG desks) as strategic business partner, support the commercial P&L and capital consumption efficiency
  • You help to document and maintain operational Trade Finance policies and manuals relevant for internal stakeholder processes
What you bring & who you are
  • You successfully completed a University degree or a higher education
  • You already worked in a commodity trading house, LC department within a bank or in a middle- or front office function within a commodity trade finance department of an international bank
  • You bring at least 5+ years of experience in trade finance
  • You distinguish yourself through our commercial mindset and your ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Your “hands-on" and “get-it-done" attitude rounds of your profile
