Trading IT is a functional unit that supports Energy Trading Business with implementation and management of their systems.

In this role you will report to the IT Head of Trading Tools and Analysis. Your primary responsibilities will be to provide tools, enhancements, analysis, and support on day-to-day activities, working directly with the Merchant Trading and Asset Management desks.


Your main responsibilities and objectives will be:

  • Develop and maintain applications satisfying business requirements.
  • Ensure support and enhancements of already developed applications, propose solutions to streamline/improve them.
  • Help and advice users doing development themselves, by providing your expertise and promoting best practices.
  • To understand the technology landscape within Trading IT, business models and key processes of the different business areas, as well as the products, services and SLAs delivered.
  • Adhere to the Trading IT Information Security Management System in your area of responsibility.

Your Profile:

  • University Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and Excel VBA.
  • Good knowledge of Python.
  • Good experience on Software Engineering.
  • Hands on experience with 1st or 2nd level support of business-critical Applications.
  • Experience in writing SQL queries.
  • Java, AWS Cloud Services, Bash scripting, Full Stack development appreciated.
  • R, C#, Selenium, outlook VBA can be useful but not mandatory.
  • Experience in Linux and Windows administration.
  • Able to work under pressure, result oriented, analytical mindset permitting to quickly identify, and fix issues encountered.
  • An understanding of the trading and/or energy sectors and how applications technology and IT services support the business processes.
  • Good communications and inter-personal skills, team and goal oriented, analytical, and problem-solving skills are highly valued.
  • Languages: Good English Skills, French and/or German a plus.
