You have just finished your studies and are looking for an exciting career start that offers you structure, perspective, innovation, and permanent development?

Then just move on and start thinking about your career!

Briefly facts: Stryker is one of the world’s largest medical devices companies and a Great Place to Work Winner 2022. We develop, produce, and sell a comprehensive product portfolio that enables our users (m/f/d) in clinics and hospitals to provide an optimal treatment to patients every day.

At that point you will step in and start your career as a trainee for one of our most innovative products - Mako Smart Robotics. It is used to manage minimally invasive knee and hip surgeries within the Joint Replacements division.

This great program provides you an intensively mentoring support within the first year. It ensures that you will familiarize yourself, without pressure in the entire field of Joint Replacement/Mako Smart Robotics. Further you will gain insights into all interfaces that are important for you in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. The first intermediate station has been achieved in completing your primary device certification and supporting an independent Mako surgery. From now on you will proceed with the program as a Mako Associate to extend and expand your knowledge by supporting your colleagues in various clinics and hospitals throughout Switzerland.

In finalizing the first 3 years you are now ready to cover your own customers in an assigned region as a Mako Product Specialist (m/f/d). At this stage you can use the career crossroad to either change the direction in developing yourself within Robotics, or into a Junior Sales Representative or Junior Product Management role.

Let us proceed with some details!

What can you expect:

A new challenge every day: The first year allows you to accompany all Mako Smart Robotic surgeries with the assigned mentors (m/f/d). That means travelling within different clinics and hospitals all over Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. Further you will complete the first Robotics certifications in numerous training courses combined with practical OR experience. You win deep insight knowledge of the various working methods and behaviors what challenges you in adapting to new situations and requirements every day.

A steep learning curve: Get to know the work of your direct interfaces in Joint Replacement and Mako Smart Robotics! It enables you to learn more about sales activities, project finalizing, and technical demands related to Mako Robotics.

Team spirit: You are an important team member; colleges do rely and count on.

Something meaningful with perspective: During the program you will grow into the expert role, do something meaningful every day and make career along the way.

Our requirements:

  • A successfully completed (or soon) university degree in medical devices, health economics, biomedical engineering, natural sciences or similar. We value diversity what means that we are also open if you plan to continue your development after an OR education.
  • Ideally, you have already gained initial internship experience within medical technology or a related field.
  • You enjoy learning new things and are always curious on the go.
  • You enjoy collaborating with people and can adapt quickly to new situations.
  • Besides the local language you communicate very well in English (C1 level) & French.
  • You have a valid driver’s license class B and like to be on the road.

And here are more things you will find with us:

  • Your opinion counts: An open and inclusive work culture with flat hierarchies.
  • Your performance is visible: Regular feedback and reflection meetings and recognized with further training and promotion opportunities
  • Team spirit: Meet committed colleagues (m/f/d) with whom you can advance ideas and grow together.
  • We are already thinking about your future: Take advantage of an interesting company pension plan.
  • You are also mobile in your free time: Use of your company car with fuel card, also for private purposes.

Additional information

  • The travel activity can amount up to 90% with your company car for supra-regional as well as assignments in Austria and Germany. Therefore, there will be regular external overnight stays.
  • Depending on the planning of your work week, you will be in your home office the rest of the time.
