Stadler Signalling is the center of competence for Signalling technology and digitalization in the Stadler Group with multiple sites in Switzerland and Germany. Your tasks

As an Trainee at Stadler Signalling, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the management and gaining an understanding of the company’s operations and strategic objectives.
  • Participating in training programs and on-the-job learning experiences to develop your skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborating with colleagues from different departments and locations to achieve business goals.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of new strategies and initiatives.
  • Creating presentations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to management.
  • Leading and managing cross-functional projects to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinating with locations and project teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
  • Supporting the preparation of proposals and bids for new projects.
  • Traveling to different locations to gain exposure to different markets and cultures, and to support project delivery.

Your profile

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business Administration or similar
  • Quick comprehension and high willingness to learn and to go the extra mile
  • A large amount of commitment and high self-initiative
  • Passionate about what we do
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel and potential relocate for a limited time period
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German, French is an advantage

The Program Our Trainee Program lasts in total 18 months. Within this period, you will work in four different departments for 3-6 months each. You will be based in Wallisellen, Switzerland:

  • Strategy & Business Development: During your first six months, you will learn about the governance of Stader Group and Stadler Signalling, our products, implications of large international tenders and familiarize yourself with different forms of collaboration with business partners. You will be working on tasks such as independently preparing reportings, market analysis and applications, supporting with localization and M&A, developing sub-strategies, and executing individual activities to support integration.
  • Project Management: Here you will learn all the tools which we use for project management. Moreover, you will manage sub-projects in a prioritized and structured manner as a Junior Commercial Project Leader.
  • Finance: You will get to know the role of CFO within the division and understand the steering and reporting tools.
  • Sales: You will work with bids to understand the sales process, get to know the sales calculations and build up a basic knowhow of our customer base and their needs.

Additionally, we will provide you with training inputs into further topics such as leadership, HR and so on at our location in Wallisellen, Switzerland.
