Position Summary

Bulk Elemental Analysis (BEA) market is in a fast growing and develop phase to support our company mission that is creating the world Healthier, Cleaner and Safer.

The Training Specialists for X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) and Energy Dispersive (EDX) belongs to Global Technical Support (GTS) group in BEA. This group is responsible at factory level for technical support and training to the worldwide field service organization.

This role will be fully empowered and accountable for the daily execution of the tasks required to drive successful completion of Field Service Engineers (FSE) and Customers trainings, virtually, in our factories (Ecublens, Switzerland or Brno, Czech Republic), at customer site or in the field. A willingness to share knowledge as well as to see others succeed with the skills acquired through content created by the training team is a must for this position.

In field activities worldwide giving training to customers or FSE’s as well as supporting issues that requires Specialist expertise will be part of the Training Specialist duties at a rate about 20%. Defining and creating training material and content, in collaboration with other GTS member or other department is also under the Training Specialist responsibilities. Being frequently in our factories working on our training preparation or giving them is mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Training for FSE’s and customers on maintenance, installation, repair and provide guidance how to train customer for XRF and EDX,
  • Preparation of various courses to establish a training program
  • Prepare course documents and materials to support prior, during and after the training for attendees,
  • Developing eLearning and face-to-face training,
  • Participate to the elaboration of courses creation for new products,
  • Support administrative part for training such visa document, accommodation, registration, certification of attendees, …

Qualifications
  • A degree in microtechnic/electronic engineering, computer science, physics or equivalent,
  • 3 years of experience in field service or similar Technical Support activities for WD,
  • Experience in training or mentoring a plus,
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), French or other languages a plus,
  • Able to travel easily worldwide at 20% rate,
  • Ability to handle multiple issues at the same time,
  • Great teammate, good interpersonal and communication skills needed,
  • Customer oriented,
  • Autonomous, analytical and problem-solving approach, analytical ability to identify priorities.
