Our client is newly incorporated industrials metals trading company in Zug.

Furthermore the company provides bespoke transport, logistics, marketing, planning, consulting and back-office services.

The office is located in Zug area and employs a small team of Specialists in Sales and Supply Chain from various nationalities, the company language is English.

For this newly established company we are looking for a

Treasury & Controlling Manager

As this will be a new role within the company this offers the chance to actively contributing to shape the company’s structure and financial strategy.

YOUR Position:

Treasury function:
  • Cash Management, tracking and planning
  • Managing treasury and cash management functions including cash concentration, wires, account funding and ensuring adequate liquidity for working capital needs
  • Monitor foreign exchange exposure and propose actions to avoid any exposure
  • Investigating and resolving payment errors
  • Following up compliance requests from banks
  • Preparing documents and forms for opening new bank accounts and e -banking; controlling up-to-date bank signature cards
  • Compliance (KYC and AML)
  • Controlling and conducting customer master data in the system
  • Coordinating of annual audit together with external accountant
  • Monitor foreign exchange exposure and propose actions to mitigate exposure risk (if any)

Controlling function:
  • Interaction with the external accounting firm on accounting and reporting items.
  • Financial analysis (e.g. Income statements, variances vs Budget)
  • Reconciliation of balances
  • Support in setting up an internal control system and monitoring effectiveness of those controls
  • Perform controls and tests as detailed in the Internal Control system; maintenance of ICS documentation;
  • Support in direct and indirect tax matters

YOUR Profile

Professional Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Educated to degree level in Accounting/Finance
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in an international environment, preferably in the metals industry
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is essential, knowledge of Abacus ERP Financials is desirable
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking
  • Excellent verbal and written command of English is essential. German is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills to articulate clearly and concisely and numeral literacy are very important
  • Knowledge of EU VAT regulations is desirable
  • Accurate and efficient working style with good attention to detail to complete the daily processes
  • Good interpersonal skills and team focused
  • Structured approach with the ability to prioritise work load to meet deadlines
  • Ability to absorb information quickly and thrive in high pressure environment
  • Willingness to assume responsibility and work independently
  • Customer oriented thinking with pro -active and flexible approach
