Your role

This senior role is part of the UX Strategy and Leadership Team which is responsible to ensure the design process for digital journeys and solutions is directly aligned with business goals, user needs and technological capabilities. In this role you will work alongside the product stream lead and the technical stream lead to provide the design team with business context and leadership to enable and empower the team to focus on developing client centric digital products. You will remove blockers, filter noise, negotiate with business and IT, and be the design teams main advocate. This role is typically for product streams with larger complexity (e.g., multiple Crews and PODs requiring UX alignment and leadership) and significant number of UX and product professionals involved.

Responsibilities

  • lead multi-disciplinary teams of UX Service Designers, UX Strategists, UX/UI Designers, Researchers, UX Writers and Optimization Experts
  • work closely with and educate senior product and IT leaders to elevate the design function to deliver superior and differentiated client experiences across all channels.
  • provide strong leadership to represent the client centric design discipline in product streams in order to shape product vision, strategy and drive the product roadmap
  • harmonize the work of all UX professionals involved, from all UX disciplines, and align the team with engineering, product management, sales and other cross functional partners
  • enable and drive cultural transformation amongst product teams and senior management toward becoming a client centered design organization with the goal to improve the overall UX maturity within the organization
  • use client centric measurement systems to demonstrate business value creation by following UX design principles in tangible and relevant business KPIs (e.g. improved client satisfaction, product usage, adoption etc.)

Your team

Platforms and Channels UBS Switzerland is constantly looking for new talents. You`ll be working in the Center of Excellence (CoE) for Client Experience Design & Optimization. In our agile organization you will be collaborating with product, channel and client need teams to shape client experiences while working agile in a hybrid model at UBS offices or from home.

Your expertise

  • excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management in an complex agile work environment
  • expert knowledge of methodologies and frameworks for UX design process, principles and UX roadmaps
  • strategic thinking and pragmatic decision making with a track record of managing large cross-functional UX and product teams
  • extensive experience in representation the design discipline amongst senior business management.
  • higher education (degree from a University/ FH, preferably in UX Design, Human Computer Interaction, Business Administration, Marketing or similar),
  • minimum 10 years of work experience in relevant fields and experienced in leading product design teams
  • able to cope with a dynamic and changing environment in an agile setup,
  • communicative, independent and proactive personality with the drive to focus on ongoing professional development within UX,
  • excellent English skills (speaking and writing); German skills (understanding) would be beneficial
