Janssen Supply Chain (JSC), is recruiting for a Value Chain Group Leader--------------.

Janssen Supply Chain is a global organization responsible for supplying medicines to markets around the world. With Quality as their primary focus, this group strives to provide access and affordability through innovation and strong collaboration with their R&D and Commercial partners to deliver life changing solutions for patients in need.

The Value Chain Group Leader - Launch and Growth, small molecules is accountable for shaping a team of Value Chain Leaders. The VCLs will lead the supply chain design and execution of various line extensions and pediatric programs of NMEs, in close partnership with the VCLs who carry full accountability for the overall JSC product strategies of those NMEs.

Attracting and developing talent will be a crucial component of the responsibility of the group leader.

In addition, the Value Chain Group leader will be engaged in efforts to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of how we deliver against the supply chain design and execution of the programs in his/her portfolio. A primary responsibility will be to lead the JSC pediatric center of excellence.

The group leader also may lead product strategies as Value Chain Leader, based on available capacity.

Responsibilities

The Value Chain Team Leader, Launch and Growth, small molecules will lead a global team of Associate Value Chain Leaders, with full accountability for:
  • Leads Launch & Grow Value Chain Teams as VCL
  • Attracts and develops VCLs, in strategic JSC locations in proximity to major SC hubs
  • Develops clear goals & objectives for all VCLs in the team, and coaches and mentors direct reports.
  • Leads the pediatric center of excellence for JSC, and implements effective ways of working to create optimal pediatric supply chain designs, in close partnership with DPDS.
  • Champions process improvement efforts to optimize our ways of working in developing and shaping product strategies.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline is required. An advanced technical degree (MSc, PhD) or an MBA degree in a scientific or engineering discipline, advanced technical degree is preferred. A PMI Certification (or equivalent) is preferred
  • Understanding of the development and manufacturing process of pharmaceutical products
  • Broad Supply Chain as well as R&D experience. Deep understanding of E2E Supply Chain Design and execution, API/DP Operations and Manufacturing, Technical Transfers, New Product Development and introduction, Quality and Regulatory, in pharmaceutical, biotech, or similar industry
  • Excellent people leadership, proven track record to attract and develop talent.
  • Experience leading a portfolio of complex products/projects with a proven track record of delivering results and leading multifunctional, ‘virtual’ and global teams to success
  • Understanding of business requirements and supply chain product metrics, proven ability to improve supply chain metrics
  • Ability to prepare cost benefit analyses and articulate business cases for stakeholders’ approvals, make sound business and customer centric decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries through influence, negotiation and partnering
  • Strong written and oral communication skills at all levels (English)
  • This position will require up to 20% international and domestic travel.
