Read more careers.bms.com/working-with-usThe Vice President, Biologics Supply Chain lead BMS’s Biologics E2E supply strategy, planning, & execution across internal/external assets & time horizons. This individual will report to the head of Global Supply Chain and work closely with leaders across all treatment areas, products, & relevant networks to solve complex challenges with innovative solutions & drive positive impact for patients with serious illnesses.Key Responsibilities- Oversees & manages long-range planning, rough cut capacity planning, & production scheduling for Biologics Operating Unit across both internal & external sites & including inventory & materials
- Implements an integrated supply strategy for the global mfg. network, including Contract Mfg. Organizations
- Ensures meaningful & robust two way sharing of critical information between Global Supply Chain & the Bio Operating Unit
- Owns management of Supply Network Planning process for all mfg. sites & Contract Mfg. Organizations through supervision of a team of SNP professionals, including creation & maintenance of valid Master Production Schedule for all global mfg. sites
- Ensures Bio Supply Chain organization is aligned to Life Cycle Management, product governance & other processes
- Achieves Customer Service levels & inventory turns per agreed target levels at all nodes of the Global Supply Chain
- Leads & manages external mfg. activities including implementing external manufacturing strategy, setting production requirements, & reaching target supply performance metrics
- Actively supports & jointly leads the implementation of a Supply Network Planning & S&OP support technology system(s)
- In conjunction with current & ex-Global Supply Chain, ensures policies & procedures are in place to meet compliance reqs.
- Plays an active role in development of strategic roadmap driving improved capabilities across E2E planning & execution
- Develops the right functional organization structure & staffing plan to meet the functional, Global Product Development & Supply, & BMS objectives of cost, service, & quality
- Assesses the competency requirements & develop/implement the talent management plan for creating building/maintaining a diverse, best-in-class team that achieves its objectives
- 10+ years of integrated (demand/supply/inventory) SC management experience for a reputed, global biopharma or consumer product company utilizing world class planning & execution processes & supported by ERP & Advanced Planning Systems (preferably SAP suites). At least 5 years as a manager of managers.
- Good understanding & exposure to cGMP, FDA, & other regulatory requirements
- Good understanding & exposure to current logistics/distribution global best practices
- Knowledge of product characteristics & requirements; deep product experience OR cross-operating unit product experience
- Experience in developing & implementing world class, global supply chain planning processes & managing them through deployment of global advanced planning & scheduling systems
- Experience in biopharma mfg. process, principles & practices
- Demonstrated leadership & international people management capabilities in driving change in complex, matrixed environments; can drive appropriate dialogue at the senior level to escalate & resolve issues; executive presence
- Exceptional talent builder & team leader – actively sought out by others as a coach & mentor
