Context:
Under the overall supervision of Chief of Treasury and direct supervision of Treasury Officer, the
successful candidate will support the implementation of a Treasury Management System to IOM
field offices, including contributing to the design and testing of files produced from PRISM
Financials, master data cleaning, testing, and training and assisting with the production of SOPs
and other materials.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the implementation and roll out of the Straight Through Payment processing
project using Treasury Management Software (TMS):
a. Capture and evaluate the banking requirements of the Regional and Country Offices in line
with the IOM financial rules and procedures.
b. Participate in the technical and operational meetings with banks, TMS application provider
and ERP Technical team.
c. Coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with external parties, Regional and
Country Offices.
d. Provide training sessions and capture enhancement needs from the Regional and Country
Offices on TMS.
e. Contribute to the management of the TMS interfaces with the Banks’ internal and external
systems and reconciliation of all treasury data to these systems;
2. Contribute and provide technical support to other technical projects related to automation of
TMS.
3. Act as a Technical Administrator of the Treasury Management System (TMS) and
connectivity with partner banks, using both SWIFT and “Host to Host” channels in close
collaboration with the supervisor.
4. Act as a SWIFT Channel process owner and maintain IOM’s SWIFT platform, connections,
and compliance requirements in close collaboration with the supervisor.
5. Act as a Technical Administrator of other relevant HQ Treasury platforms as required.
6. Collect and review all ERP enhancements from the Regional and Country Offices for approval
by the Senior Project Treasury Officer relating to payments processes.
7. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Treasury, Information Technology, or a related field from an
accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or,
- University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience
Experience
- Experience working in finance/banking/Treasury/IT business with a minimum of two years’
experience in Treasury and System Administration;
- Knowledge of the usage of a Treasury Management System and Treasury functions;
- Knowledge of payment types (SEPA, international, ACH) within a country;
- Preferred knowledge and experience in treasury and back office (Settlement, confirmation,
cash pooling, etc.), and,
- Experience of working in a multi-cultural setting.
Skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently;
- Ability to collect and analyze data;
- Excellent organization skills; analytical and creative thinking;
- High level of computer literacy, excellent knowledge in Microsoft applications.
Languages
IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish.

English and have at least a working knowledge of one additional UN Language (French,
Spanish, Arabic, Russian or Chinese).

and/or Spanish is an advantage.
