VirtaMed believes medical education is powerfully delivered through data-driven simulation solutions. Since 2007, we have developed the leading solutions for training outside the operating room because we believe healthcare professionals should never have to perform a procedure for the first time on a patient.
We are looking for a VP of Global Marketing to build out and strengthen our global presence as a leading company in our field. With our strategy and growth plans, the position offers a unique opportunity to build out a global team across the USA and Switzerland to shape our Strategic Product Marketing as well as provide our Sales organizations with insights and materials that win our customers.
Your Work
As a member of the extended VirtaMed leadership team and reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for the strategic product marketing of our various offerings across different medical disciplines as well as for marketing and analytics functions. In your role as VP Global Marketing, you will:

  • Build and motivate the current team in Strategic Product Marketing responsible for our offer solutions across four medical disciplines
  • Shape and drive our marketing activities across our channels with our existing team and freelance supporters
  • Contribute to the overall company strategy including pricing, campaigns, branding, go-to-market activities
  • Support and enthuse our colleagues in Sales and Training & Education through your team’s efforts and your personal insights
  • Plan, orchestrate and contribute to our internal and external communication to promote our unique value-add for our customers and our company culture

You will work closely with our world-class commercial teams, Product Management, and the overall company leadership.
Your Profile
You are a pragmatic leader who is fascinated by the potential of simulation in healthcare and keen to “do” and “lead”. To succeed in this role, you bring experience in:

  • People Development with a track record as an inspiring leader and builder of teams who wins people over with your ideas and how to execute them
  • Marketing Experience with at least 5 years of experience in Marketing of a global healthcare company, ideally also in technology
  • Very strong Strategic Thinking with the corresponding toolkit from analytics to problem solving
  • Pragmatism and the ability to “do” and delegate/empower as we build and scale the business
  • Passion for healthcare and its impact on society, customers, patients, and medical device companies

Today we are a company of over 100 people, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, with offices in the USA and China, and a global network of partners. Our simulators are used for medical education by teaching hospitals, medical societies, and medical device companies.
