As the Country Sales Manager for Switzerland and Austria you will lead UPS Sales Department, with the responsibility of managing our sales teams across the country, formulating sales strategies to meet business plans, maintain success across the marketplace and develop best in class industry knowledge and best practices within his/her department.

The Head of Sales collaborates with the entire business planning team to formulate account strategies for leveraging our world class shipping solutions. You will lead a diverse team, engage with top customers to identify needs (e.g., determine technology capabilities, reduce supply chain risk, etc.), manage and execute a business plan, foster industry relationships, monitor quality performance reports and create a positive vibe within the department supporting our strategy to be the company of choice for our customers and employer of choice for our sales teams.

Responsibilities And Duties
  • Executes sales direction and strategy to the sales team to promote information sharing on customer accounts, industry trends, and competitive environment.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive account strategies for retention, acquisition, and profitable growth.
  • Participates in regional and corporate meetings with stakeholders to discuss sales performance, account penetrations and conversions, sales growth strategies, resolution strategies, competitive landscape, and market trends.
  • Develops and communicates the business plan to support targeted sales opportunities, sales initiatives, account penetration, international sales growth, and profitability strategies.
  • Utilizes and develops sales performance quality measurement tools to determine the achievement of sales goals and evaluate sales team and individual performance levels.
  • Identifies individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, projects, etc.) to facilitate individual and team development.
  • Directs the sales team and people processes (e.g., Performance Management, Career Development, Training, Staffing, etc.) to
  • ensure the day to day administration of processes and formal procedures
  • Participates in business associations to stay informed of market trends and create beneficial relationships for UPS
