Founded on 14th April 1900 in Paris, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is the world governing body for cycling. Its mission is to develop and supervise cycling in all its forms and for everybody, as a competitive sport, as a healthy recreational activity and as a means of transport and having fun.

Additionally, the UCI promotes a number of its own events, including the UCI Road World Championships, an iconic annual event, and a wide range of other UCI World Championships and World Cups across the various disciplines. It is based in Aigle, Switzerland, at the UCI World Cycling Centre.


Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure coordination of the UCI Bike City & Region network, including regular communications, monitoring and reporting mechanisms, and editorial content.
  • Support the development and delivery of a new series of virtual seminars for UCI Bike Cities and Regions
  • Liaise with UCI National Federations, helping them to share good practices in building successful cycling for all programs.
  • Support the planning and logistical preparation of the annual UCI Mobility & Bike City Forum.
  • Support the development of existing and new programmes and partnerships supporting the promotion of cycling as a sustainable, accessible and healthy transport mode.
  • Support the UCI’s efforts as part of the UN Sports for Climate Action Framework, including tasks related to climate change and sustainable development.
  • Provide administrative support in the organisation of UCI Cycling for All & Sustainable Cycling Commission and expert working group meetings.

Profile:



  • Master’s degree or a qualification deemed equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an international English-French environment
  • Perfect command of spoken and written English and French
  • Understanding of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
  • Ability to lead and facilitate meetings and networks
  • Comfortable with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Very good written and organisational skills
  • Sense of responsibility, autonomy, proactivity, adaptability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • High interest in sport, cycling a plus
