Benteler Trading International (BTI) is a trading and logistics firm based in Zug, Switzerland. We support corporate clients globally with bespoke inventory trading solutions that maximise the efficiency of their balance sheets by buying, moving, holding and re-selling goods. Modern, complex supply chains often mean that companies tie up capital in inventories that could be used for other strategic purposes. BTI offers a solution to finance inventories as well as automate the supply chain and manage risks.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities

As a Senior SAP Consultant, you will be responsible for any development task related to our SAP S4 HANA platform. Besides the development, you will also be responsible for the maintenance of roles and authorisations as well as for the EDI-based interfaces with new and existing customers.

You will work closely with the other members of the SAP team in order to implement the requirements provided by the business.

Based on your experience will be accountable for:

• Creation of technical specifications based on functional specifications
• Implement functionalities in ABAP and ABAP-OO based on the technical specifications and maintain existing code.
• (Reports, User-Exits, BAPIs, BADIs, etc.)
• Implement database queries based on CDS Views and AMDP classes
• Create and enhance Adobe Forms with the Adobe Lifecycle Designer
• Test and deploy the solutions.
• Create and maintain the relevant project documentation.
• Establish and manage the relationship with the technical departments of our customers/suppliers/service partners connected via EDI
• Manage the setup of new EDI connections and the implementation of new messages
• Manage and improve our role and authorisation concept.

Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent education
• 6+ years of work experience in SAP ABAP and ABAP-OO Development and the design and implementation of authorization concepts
• Practical Experience with CDS views and AMDP classes
• Practical experience in setting up and managing EDI connections and implementation of EDI messages (IDOC, EDIFACT, ANSI X.12)
• Practical Experience with Adobe Lifecycle Designer
• At least 2 full SAP lifecycle implementations
• SAP certifications are a big plus
• Profound SAP project and Go-Live experience (SAP implementation approach)
• Analytical and structured working attitude
• Abundance of common sense and strong problem-solving skills
• English fluency, written and orally. Additional languages a plus.
• Self-starter, work independently and maintain priorities to achieve high-satisfied customer relationships
