Job Title: Analyst, Corporate Accounting & Controlling
Reports to: Director Corporate Controlling


Job Overview
The Analyst, Corporate Accounting & Controlling role is part of the Corporate Controlling team and look after a number of Corporate entities for accounting, tax and controlling aspects.
The role suits a passionate, forward-looking accountant with a big four background, willing to grow within a dynamic, fast paced organization. This is a hands on role, for a resilient and detail oriented professional who is enthusiastic and ready to contribute to amcor’s success.


Job Dimensions

The role reports to the Manager, Corporate Accounting and to the Director Corporate Controlling who are supported by UK and US-based Shared Service Centers.


Principal Accountabilities
Monthly Reporting & Controlling (60%)
a) Support the month end closing / management reporting of Amcor group GmbH and other corporate entities
b) Assist with forecasting and budgeting a number of cost centers
c) Owner of the head office accounting including booking of significant transactions, accruals, cross-charges etc.
d) Initiate process improvement projects and streamline processes



Statutory Accounting and reporting (40%)
a) Prepare complex statutory financial statements according to Swiss code of obligations
b) Lead external audit of statutory accounts and present financials to the management
a) Preparation and declaration of stamp duty and income Taxes in collaboration with tax teams
b) Coordinate external consultants in charge of VAT returns filing


Major challenges & complexities
  • Ability to balance and adapt communication to suit a broad spectrum of hierarchy (up to C-level) and stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Willingness to deal with both high level/complex topics and more basic/repetitive tasks
  • Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Qualifications/Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience (Big Four background is an advantage)
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss code of obligations and US GAAP
  • Swiss income taxes experience required
  • HFM experience strongly preferred
