For our medtech client in canton Vaud, we are looking for an Application Software Engineer.

As an Application Software Engineer, you will be involved in the design, development, testing and maintenance of application software that enables customers to perform the most challenging surgical tasks. You will inspire and motivate your colleagues to innovate, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to on-going development of applicative software for servicing and manufacturing surgical robot
  • Creating and running manual and automated unit- and system-level software tests
  • Developing PC-based Windows applications, and Linux/QNX embedded application software
  • Contributing to the full system design, prototyping, implementation, and support verification activities
  • Leading projects in the field of user interface & data development on company’s robot, in compliance with the necessary laws and standards
  • Contributing to design documentation, requirement documentation, test procedures and reports in compliance with medical device regulation

Your Profile:

  • Bsc. (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Informatics (or related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience)
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in software development
  • Solid track record of structured product development (requirements-driven engineering, architecture modelling using e.g. UML, detailed design, unit, integration and system testing, release processes, documenting, etc.)
  • Excellent programming skills using modern C++, QML & knowledge of Qt framework.
  • Experience in the development and testing of application software on Windows/Linux/POSIX operating systems.
  • Experience with version control systems (using Git), continuous integration toolchains (e.g. Jenkins)
