Function/Position objectives

Responsibilities

2nd front line support of our applications and their infrastructure. Liaison between 2nd and 3rd line teams, as well as development and other IT infrastructure departments
Tracking and monitoring of all our clients hosted platforms (understanding of ELK Stack and Apache Skywalking)
Participate and help to improve a structured change management process
Testing in UAT and production-like environments
Small scale application upgrade, configuration and patching across multiple environments in line with requirements with oversight, QA and sign off for all go live and production changes/upgrades
Capacity management and tracking and management of audit requests, contributing to departmental and company-wide process improvement
Regular communications with an extensive client base to provide status updates, successful solutions as well as documenting all activities for future reference. Responsible for the recording of issues and actions and being able to provide incident and problem management

Profiles

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
3-5 years of working experience as Support Analyst in a financial environment with Agile Software Development practices
Programming skills (.NET Core, Java, JavaScript, React.js and React Native) and SQL knowledge are essential, high proficiency with Linux environments, good understanding of networking and client/server technology (http vs websockets and ports), FIX connectivity is also a bonus, having worked with and have an understanding of cloud computing and environments, ideally Azure hosting
Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team as well as willingness to take ownership for problem resolution and additional responsibilities where applicable
Interest to construtivly participate in technical and functional discussions in order to optimise existing processes and workflows
Fluent in English, German would be an advantage
