Global market leader in its field, challenging role in Finance|Financial Activities related to manufacturing site

About Our Client

Our client is a globally renown company in the FMCG area with a strong brand recognition and leader in its field. We are immediately looking for an experienced Finance professional (Accounting and Business Controlling) to join the local team asap for at least 6 months.

Job Description

  • Ensure adherence to various closing, budget and reporting deadlines (variance analysis and reporting fo actuals, prepare forecast with different stakeholders for monthly estimate reporting, yearly budget should be completed by that time)
  • Adherence to relevant SOX controls
  • Business partnering with local team (presentation monthly performance meeting, different local meetings related to plant performance….)
  • CAPEX plant management (support project owners with business cases when needed with global finance template, Ensure respect of the budget and follow up with project owners when mitigation actions need to be taken , ensure respect of accounting treatment of capex costs with quarterly control…)
  • Ensure accurate Financial Reporting for P&L and Balance Sheet. Perform detailed B/S and P&L variance analysis. Closely review the financial statements with a focus on Cost of Goods, Intercompany, Inventory.
  • Financial accuracy of Inventory. Collaborate with Planning, Inventory Control team and international Finance Teams. (Ie Reserve calculation & Obsolescence)
  • Process Improvements - work and collaborate to improve current processes, foster use of systems available (e.g. SAP BI, Oracle, etc.)
  • Finance business partner for CAPEX Plant (business case, respect of accounting standards, budget follow up…)
  • Troubleshooting and answering requests from internal stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of Finance experience (ideally manufacturing)
  • Bachelor Business Economist / Business Admin with major in Finance / Expert Accounting & Controlling / Eidg. Fachausweis Buchalter or equivalent educational background
  • Fluency in English, German B1 +
  • Budget to Report (B2R) process knowledge required
  • Order to Cash (OTC) process knowledge required, Procure to Pay (P2P) process knowledge advantageous
  • Good overall knowledge of Microsoft Office tools as well as good SAP knowledge, know-how of Onestream and/or Power BI desireable
  • Can-do attitude, solution oriented and hands-on working style
  • Strong communication skills and a flexible mindset
