About The Team You Are Joining

You will be joining a small team of 15 exceptionally skilled, passionate and diverse communicators. We value teamwork and customer service, work hard, innovate and deliver impactful communications to very high standards. We are proud of our growing social media communities and of the longstanding relationships that we have with journalists covering aviation around the world. You will be kept busy and encouraged to broadly develop all the skills of a modern communicator.

What Your Day Would Be Like

No two days will be the same, but you can expect to be both busy and challenged! As a member of the "CorpComms" team you will be expected to lead the development and delivery of strategic communications to ensure that our key audiences in both social and traditional media are well-informed about the aviation industry’s commitments to sustainability and what it is doing to achieve them. Alongside developing and delivering a year-long proactive communication plan, you will be in the front line with our experts in responding to events and inquiries in real-time. You will need to be good at developing professional relationships with journalists, industry partners, our airline members, other industry associations and your IATA colleagues. And, as a senior member of the team, you will be expected to be adaptable and eager to accept new challenges and projects as needs require.

We would love to hear from you if
  • You have a University degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience in media, communications, policy development or public opinion campaigns;
  • You thrive in a fast-paced work environment that requires well-developed organizational, interpersonal, cross-cultural, stakeholder management, and presentation skills to succeed;
  • You can manage multiple stakeholders in a complex and continuously changing environment;
  • You are a creative communicator with top-level English language skills;
  • You are a motivated self-starter who is equally well-adapted to teamwork with a diverse group of colleagues;
  • You have sharp judgement and decision-making capabilities, political intuition and strict attention to detail and quality;
  • You are passionate about aviation and environment issues, and have a good sense of humour.
Travel Required: Yes

Diversity and Inclusion are one of our key priorities and we want to role model it. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skills in which you can contribute at your best and be who you are. The more inclusive we are, the better we will be able to thrive to represent, lead and service the airline industry. If there is anything we can do to create a more comfortable interview experience for you, please let us know.
