For our customer based in Rotkreuz we are looking for a highly qualified Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

Background :

As an Automation Engineer you will be part of the Automation Chapter. You will support production in Blood Gas & Electrolytes (BG&E) Operations by assisting in the area of ​​automation of production. Here they are significantly involved in defining technical requirements and working out detailed specifications. You will also coordinate and implement changes to equipment and systems. Together with the team, you are responsible for software administration and ensure the software lifecycle of the production systems, as well as production-related applications and quality control (QC). You will be part of a highly skilled team of +14 engineers covering the full BG&E consumables portfolio; cobas b123 & cobas b221 sensors, classic electrodes, reagents,

Responsibilities :

* Working independently with various PLC systems to carry out changes on improvement projects, maintenance work

* Direct support in troubleshooting and problem solving for PLC automation systems in coordination with electricians, IT, etc.

* Performing corrective and preventive actions to improve PLC Systems

* Support for maintenance activities related to all PLC automation systems on site.

* Support of the commissioning activities from the perspective of automation (e.g. expansion projects, improvements or modernization projects).

* Creation of various automation documents (software design specification, hardware design specification, functional specification, work instructions) and their updating and accuracy in the GMP environment

* Verification of the performance and life cycle management of the servers for user management, backup management and audit trail. Regular communication with the IT support team.

Must haves :

* Technical further training HF or FH (system technician, mechanical engineering or electronics)

* First experience in the fields of automation technology and MES

* First experience in the GxP environment, preferably in the field of IVD

* Very good knowledge of German and English is required, technical instructions and the Documentation is in both languages.

* Interdisciplinary know-how, Industry 4.0

* Questioning conventional thought patterns

Nice to haves :

* Initial knowledge of the tools: TwinCAT/Siemens Step7, OPC UA

* IT knowledge/network technology
