In this function you will work in our Engineering Center in Emmen.

Avionics System Engineer

You can move it

• Life Cycle System Engineering for RUAG strategic products (e.g. Ground Based Landing System for UAVs)
• Design, develop and certify next generation technology of RUAG products
• Write and review engineering reports
• Write and review System Safety Analysis / FMEA (...)
• Compilation of test requirements (...)
• Analysis of in-service problems and definition of solutions
• Liaising with customers on a technical level
• Liaising with external suppliers on a technical level
• Support to the production line, customer support organization and supply chain management
• Technical Support to Bid and Sales Management by generating feasibility study, rough cost and time line estimation and supporting customer Design Reviews
• Support New Technology and Innovation projects
  

What you should bring with you

• University Degree in electrical or aerospace engineering
• 5 years of experience in the development of systems / subsystems ideally in the aviation industry, such as UAV technology, navigation, GPS, laser-optical systems.
• Knowledge of Design and Certification process for complex airborne systems (electronic Hardware and Software) is an advantage
• Working knowledge of FAA/EASA/Military certification requirements
• Fluency in English (C1) German is an advantage
• Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural team
• IT affinity with common office applications, SAP, planning tools.
• Requirements management tools such as Doors, Jira.
