As the world’s largest R&D spender in the pharmaceutical and diagnostics domain, they work in a vast number of drug discovery & therapeutic areas and are highly recognized internationally.For their office in Basel (Switzerland) we are currently looking for a:Biology Research Associateon a contract until end of 2024.Main Responsibilities
  • Performing cell culture of human cells (cell lines, hepatocytes, neurons);
  • Purifying DNA, RNA and proteins;
  • Transfecting DNA and RNA;
  • PCR, qPCR, western blot, immunofluorescence and microscopy;
  • Analysing data using Excel and GraphPad Prism;
  • Presenting and discussing results in lab meetings.
Qualifications And Experience
  • Relevant Swiss working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required;
  • At least Master degree in Biology or related fields (no PhDs);
  • 2-3 years of previous work experience as a research associate within academia or pharmaceutical/biotech industry;
  • Previous experience in mammalian cell culture, DNA and RNA purification methods, qPCR, western-Blot;
  • IT skills in Microsoft Office, GraphPad Prism;
  • Previous experience in gene editing and RNA editing related methods is a plus;
  • Previous experience in handling lentiviruses and AAVs also a plus.
