Bioprocess Systems Engineer

for our Biotech Solutions

You are a member of a high-performing and multidisciplinary team (system development) who provide input and support for the translation of requirements into the design space, with focus on the bioprocess as a stakeholder, becoming the “voice of the bioprocess”. You will act as an important interface between the bioprocess and the technical domains of software, electronics, and mechanics and create the necessary technical implementation. You will also operate automation platforms which are the core of our products (Lucullus PIMS). You will conduct feasibility studies at an early stage of product development. You must feel comfortable being under pressure and thrive in highly collaborative and agile teamwork.

Your Profile

· You have an engineering degree (BSc or equivalent) in a relevant field specializing in plant and/or mammalian cell culture, or chemical engineering with a similar focus. Demonstrable experience in systems engineering and/or software development would be highly advantageous.

· You have experience as an individual contributor working in multidisciplinary projects with bioprocess monitoring, control, automation projects, and knowledge of Lucullus PIMS would be advantageous.

· You are enthusiastic about understanding and demonstrating complex systemic interrelationships while you are a very independent, solution-oriented, an analytical team player with initiative as well as pronounced target group-oriented communication skills.

· You have hands-on experience in performing verification, validation, or qualification during the development phases of a new product, as well as in performing all tasks related to upstream processes (e.g. bioreactor sterilization, media preparation, cultivation, sampling, sample analysis, tube welding, etc.).

· You have experience in bioprocess planning, including experiments’ design (DOE) and can code in Python and Matlab.

· You communicate effectively in German and English. Spanish is not a must, but it would be advantageous.
