This product will allow Creators on YouTube to purchase music licences directly from rights owners in order to use the tracks in their videos without losing monetization. To support this launch, the team is looking for a product analyst that can help put in place the data infrastructure and reporting dashboards to monitor and improve the product performance.

The person will have existing, advanced SQL knowledge and business analytics skills to build insights from the data and support the product and engineering teams on improving the product. The person will also be able to work well with cross-functional teams e.g. UX, Business Development, Marketing to support their efforts in scaling the product to YouTube Creators and Partners.

Daily Responsibilities:
Work with the project team (Eng, PM, PgM, UX, Ops, BD, etc.), to create the reporting infrastructure and dashboards for a new YouTube Creator product
Independently develop SQL queries to retrieve data and develop the metrics reports
Provide analysis support, business understanding, and performance insights to teammates as product scales
Use modelling and analysis to highlight performance and track and analyse key performance indicators (e.g. MAUs, conversion rate, conversion funnel) to identify areas for improvement
Draw data-based insights, even with limited information and changing constraints
Identify areas of improvement and lead projects related implementation of these recommendations

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, Economics, or Analytics (or equivalent practical experience)
Prior experience in data collection of large data sets and analysis with database tools (e.g. SQL)
Past experience in developing data queries (e.g. SQL) for use in metrics dashboards for exec review and self-serve analysis
Proven track record of partnering effectively on cross-functional projects or teams, with the ability to influence by effectively communicating and presenting data in a compelling way
Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time with a high tolerance for ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment
Excellent communication skills; demonstrated ability to interact across a broad range of organisational levels and functions

Nice to have Skills/Qualifications:
2+ years experience in business analysis or modelling for online marketplaces or e-commerce
Experience using statistical software and database languages to identify trends, develop relevant insight, and recommend business improvements
Previous experience with Google specific analytical tools e.g. GoogleSql, PLX, F1, MDB groups
