About Our Client

We’re currently supporting a dynamic and innovative SME, which is specialized in the development and production of polymers and compounds and is based in Kanton Schwyz. As their business is growing, we’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to focus on developing new market segments on an EMEA level.

Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Identify and evaluate new markets entrance (EMEA region) and collaboration targets within the plastics converter industry
  • Overall responsibility for setting annual targets and defining a sales strategy
  • Contribution to organic and inorganic growth of the company
  • Generate a realistic project pipeline and hand over projects (in commercial stage) to the respective Account Managers
  • Define and develop applicable marketing activities for the respective markets
  • Close collaboration with the internal commercial and technical teams
  • Manage contacts, relationships and negotiations with potential clients
  • Establish a solid network within the two market segments
  • Travel up to 50% within the EMEA region
  • Liaise with Account Managers to coach and exchange with them on market trends
  • Write reports of customer visits and give monthly updates of projects to the Head of Sales & Marketing Profile
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Business Development in a multinational environment, preferably in specialty plastics applications, industrial market applications and/or engineering plastics applications
  • Solid network within the plastics converter industry, preferably to converters, which sell their products to the Electrical and Electronics industry as well as in the Building & Construction sector ( e.g. switches, plugs, alarm systems, temperature controls, conveyor belts, water filtration systems, safety material or else)
  • Understanding of the plastics converter industry (competitors, OEM, etc.)
  • Technical background in Chemical Engineering, Plastics, Material Science or Process Engineering desired, but not a Must
  • You are an expert in building long-term relationships with B2B clients on an EMEA level and in collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in using MS Office and CRM applications (such as SAP, Salesforce, Dynamics, Infor or comparable)
  • Proficiency in English is required, fluency in German would be highly desirable (other languages, such as Italian, are of great advantage)
  • You’re either based in Switzerland already or bring the ability to relocate Pensum 100%
