As a Category Commercial Development Lead, you will implement the commercial strategy of the FOOD Business Unit across all segments and channels. You will collaborate with the Marketing and Key Account Manager team to support the long term business growth and the profitable increase of market share.
You will act internally and externally as category expert for the entire Food portfolio including Assembly and finishing sauces (THOMY), Plant Based Meal solutions (GARDEN GOURMET), Dough (LEISI & BUITONI), and the multiple MAGGI categories (FW, Mixes, Ready Meals ...).
Finally, as a member of the Business Unit leadership team, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the business and to shape a positive environment for the cross functional FOOD team.

A Day in the Life of a Category Commercial Development Lead

  • Manage the category development team for the food category
  • Define, implement, and execute the Category and Channel Commercial strategy to deliver (Sub) Category Growth based on consumer/shopper/customer requirements
  • Lead the category commercial plan and be accountable for its implementation
  • Develop a deep understanding of channel and shopper related issues within the category: current situation, long-term trends, improvement levers and act as the category expert internally
  • Provide inputs to product innovation and pricing strategy and accompany Key Account Managers when category expertise may add value to customer negotiations

What will make you successful

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Five years of sales and/or marketing experience, ideally in the related category
  • Knowledge of Channel and Category development, preferably in CH
  • Advanced knowledge of Category/Channel/Shopper trends, Customer Best Practice, Market Intelligence
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Applied strategic and conceptual thinking
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to transfer them into implementable solutions
  • High learning agility
  • Fluent in French, German, and English
