In this role you will…


sit within our Global Innovation & Development function and play a unique & essential role developing thought-leadership on how, as a society, we walk the line between providing essential modern healthcare solutions that can support both a Healthy Planet and Healthy People.


  • Lead GSK CH global Environmental Risk Assessment operational needs in support of new drug filings

  • Support GSK CH engagement in the Pharmaceuticals in the Environment agenda

  • Represent GSK CH as a credible external subject matter expert on Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals in the Environment

  • Provide technical support & guidance to help GSK CH navigate the impact of changing regulatory & political landscape in context of chemicals in the environment


The role will ideally be located at one of our European R&D centres (Weybridge, UK or Nyon, Switzerland) but remote working is an option for the right candidate.


Why you?


Qualifications & Skills:


  • A minimum of a BSc degree within a biochemistry/chemistry or environmental science related field

  • Expertise in Environmental Risk Assessment of medical products

  • A working knowledge of chemical regulations as they pertain to hazard and risk assessment, including ERAs for medical products

  • A working knowledge of associated key stakeholder groups from Regulators to Trade Bodies


Preferred Qualifications & Skills:


  • Passionate to challenge the status quo and drive transformational change and disruptive thinking

  • Confident style with excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication (written + oral) skills.

  • Self-starter, able to work effectively with limited oversight and within the complexities of a matrix environment

  • Proven history of translating findings into actionable insights and driving results through influencing at different levels of the organisation

  • Specific experience working with cross-functional global teams.

  • Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple priorities under tight timelines with rigor and quality.

  • Utilize multi source information in a fast-moving environment.
