Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with database languages/tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Qlikview, Looker)


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Business Intelligence & Data Analytics and familiarity with Google products, infrastructure, and types of online abuse.
  • Experience delivering data insights using Dremel or SQL, and working with multiple large datasets.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams, including with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong technical competency, with a data-driven analytical approach towards solving complex challenges.

As a Child Safety Business Intelligence Analyst within the Trust & Safety Team, you’ll be part of a global team that ensures the seamless detection and removal of content across the broad spectrum of online child endangerment. Through close partnerships with Legal, Policy, Product, and Engineering, you’ll design and develop novel solutions to further Google’s ability to fight abuse in the Child Safety space.

In this role you will be responsible for shaping and driving the Analytics and Business Intelligence Programs by providing strategic insights to support decision making across our global Child Safety teams. You will work in close partnership with Legal, Policy, Product, and Engineering, to understand their data structures and drive projects impacting initiatives worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with users or cross-functional decision makers to identify data sources, required data elements, or data validation standards.
  • Act as a subject-matter specialist in business intelligence and possess solid analysis and data modeling design skills, which you use to design reports, queries, and dashboards and maintain data pipelines.
  • Drive business intelligence infrastructure improvements and translate metrics and analysis into formats that enable supported teams to quickly and easily derive relevant information.
  • Lead development of new business intelligence processes and methods anticipating and addressing future issues.
  • Provide ongoing support for cross-functional data users through maintenance of reports, queries, systems and dashboards. Size and plan for dependency changes (e.g., system migrations and configuration).
