Job Description:

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator with good excel skills and commercial acumen who is looking to join our global family in a role that supports the sales / pricing teams across Europe / Middle East & Africa / Eurasia.

The role is to provide merchandising and revenue support work for Caterpillar products, in specific on Caterpillar machines working closely with the Europe, Africa, Middle East and Eurasia (EAME) team. Primary role is to work with the Industry teams providing core merchandising support.

The Merchandising Team is responsible for managing the Machine Sales Variance provided to our dealers via Sales Support Programs and SPARs in order to achieve or exceed our business plan in Europe, Eurasia and Africa-Middle East territories via effective marketing tactics. Analysts are responsible for the analysis and processing of the different steps for SPAR analysis, the coordination and execution of regional pricing strategies working with internal partners in Industry and Product groups. They typically have geographical responsibilities for one or more Districts and associated Dealers and are responsible for the administration of sales support programs in support of the relevant Industry teams.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Analyzing and processing SPAR requests from specific areas and dealers, working closer to the Industry field reps form GCI, GP, Mining and BCP.

Supporting SPAR monitoring working together with the Industry Teams

Providing SPAR forecasting, working close with the Strategic Merchandising team for the monthly forecast process

  • Develop and review revenue proposals for the EAME team, including analysis of sales history, volume forecast, competition, product quality, product availability, value premiums and other profit related factors for sales of Caterpillar products.
  • Executes Focus programs, by providing guidance to the sales teams, checking levels of approval, receiving approvals and processing the programs in Caterpillar systems.
  • Collaborate with the Industry teams to monitor, evaluate and train personnel on corporate practices, policies, tactics and strategy.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls including Sarbanes-Oxley control documentation and responsible for validating these controls
  • Provides input to the monthly forecast process regarding year end estimation of SV spend
  • Performs ad-hoc projects within the scope of the pricing area to support decisions for the region and product groups

Required qualifications/experience:

  • Requires a 3-4 year college degree or equivalent experience concentrated in business administration, finance, economics, and statistics, accounting, or related fields
  • Preference for some experience with Caterpillar systems and processes
  • Must have strong analytical ability, self-driven and result oriented
  • Advanced computer skill in terms of advanced excel

Some experience of Power BI, Tableau or other data analytics and visualization tools

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
  • Limited travel required (Up to 5% of working time)

Training can be provided for someone bringing 4+ year admin experience who has had involvement in B2B customer service and has a good financial / commercial mind.
