lastminute.com is looking for a Consolidation specialist for its Consolidation team based in Chiasso.
This position will contribute to the preparation, analysis and release of the Group consolidated financial statements, in accordance with IFRS GAAP, internal control requirements and Group financial calendar.
Furthermore, the position will facilitate the Consolidation team in completing several tasks required by all the relevant departments internal to the group.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain and execute the reconciliation of consolidated ledger accounts and financial statements (balance sheet, profit and loss, statements, capital expenditure schedules, intercompany schedules)
- Analyse periodically the Group Net Financial Position and Net Working Capital
- Develop, test and deploy new consolidated reports
- Design and maintain internal control over financial reporting processes and perform control activities in the respective area of responsibility
- Implement periodical reviews on the reporting packages prepared by local finance managers
- Contribute to develop the Group’s accounting manual and reporting guidelines
- Develop and maintain a documented system of procedures to ensure efficient operation of systems, processes and controls and accuracy of financial reporting
- Support the implementation and set-up of the consolidation procedures and the intercompany set-up
- Manage the relationship with external auditors for ordinary requests
Essential
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in technical accounting and financial reporting (with deep knowledge of IFRS GAAP) obtained in major multinational group or a consultancy firm
- English proficiency level both oral and written
Desirable
- Previous experience of audit background gained in a one of a Big-4
- Knowledge of Tagetik consolidation reporting system or similar
- French or German as a third language will be considered a plus
- Microsoft Excel skills at advanced level, including lookups, pivots, macros and modelling

- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deliver clear and concise guidance and instructions to subsidiaries, other Group functions and Departments
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with personnel at all organisational levels and contributing to a team
- Cross-cultural sensitivity, self-motivated and used to working in dynamic and fast paced environment
- Flexibility of working practices, priorities and availability during peaks of the season to meet business demands
- Ability to build strong relationships required for liaising with internal and external stakeholders
