We are seeking a Corporate Action Analystfor our client based in the beautiful Lugano area.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process all mandatory and voluntary corporate actions (stock splits, stock dividends, spin-offs, exchanges, mergers, tenders, consents, etc.) on the global custody accounting system.
  • Manage Corporate Actions Escalations related to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that corporate action information received from vendors and other sources is accurately interpreted and recorded in the Corporate Actions Department.
  • Identify, understand, and control the high degree of risk inherent in corporate actions processing to minimize financial losses due to misinterpretation of information or processing error.
  • Understand the link between Custody / Fund Master / DTC and resolve exceptions between them.
  • Process client elections/instructions on voluntary corporate actions.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure requirements are understood and the delivered design meets all requirements adequately.
  • Support technology teams through build and unit test activities to ensure all requirements are understood.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify potential risk scenarios.
  • Implement controls to minimize operational risk.



KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred but not required.
  • Solid working knowledge of the key elements of Corporate Actions processing.
  • Ability to identify high-risk items or seek assistance to minimize loss to either the shareholder and/or the company.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily objectives.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify risk and risk mitigation opportunities.
  • Adaptability based upon business need and a changing operating environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work autonomously while balancing own work and assisting the team.
  • Language – Italian Bilingual/Native & English B1.
