WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for a person who loves food and will work on a national level to ensure that our food is safe and compliant for our guests and employees.
  • You love food and have a degree (Bachelor or Master) in Food Science, Nutrition, Hotel or Food Service.
  • You have a deep theoretical and practical knowledge of food regulations and food compliance rules.
  • You have a solid professional experience in quality management (HACCP), food law and ideally in auditing Food Safety.
  • You are an experienced leader with a customer and consumer focused mind-set.
  • You have a strong ability to prioritize and organize work and the work of others, to make the most efficient use of time.
  • You communicate confidently and clearly in English and German and you like approaching other people and you like direct contact with different contact persons.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Being responsible for developing and implementing common risk-based compliance plans for food safety and food safety framework, standards, ways of working, tools and KPI’s on a country level.
  • Monitoring and identifying market food safety needs and requirements to develop market specific range safety needs in line with the IKEA range strategy, requirements, and processes.
  • Planning, conducting and following-up food safety and compliance performance audits.
  • Ensuring quality of the audits, lead the information and escalation process in case of food safety non-compliance as well as reviewing and acting upon them to ensure food safety excellence throughout the years.
  • Ensuring clear and effective customer food safety communication.
  • Making sure that the equipment and facilities meet the IKEA food safety standards and legal demands.
  • Being in close contact with external companies working with food safety compliance verification activities (e.g. external food safety audit, microbiological or other food safety related analyses or tests).
  • Contributing proactively as a member of the IKEA Food team to deliver to the common objectives and goals.
  • Transferring knowledge and sharing information to and between the units.
  • Working across functions within IKEA and collaborate with other IKEA units.
  • Pro-actively monitoring and adapting new local food safety operational needs, demands and regulations
  • Being an active player in working on sustainability.
