You offer our customers a high-end security service, which enables you to help onboard new customers who want to use the services of the major security provider in Switzerland.

Team Our team is multi-cultural and diverse. We work as a close team in an agile/scrum environment with an emphasis on knowledge sharing. Team members can volunteer to take on new projects and are given opportunities to learn and develop their know-how and skillset. Members consult with the team for feedback or help with specific technical issues for which help is gladly provided. New joiners receive training on the specific products and domains and are encouraged to shadow the experienced team members and begin hands-on work as soon as they can.

The theme You are joining the Swisscom Security Agile Release Train, where advanced security products and services are developed and offered to external and internal customers. You are able to gain experience in various IT and cyber security domains. We focus on monitoring database access and alerting database servers that contain sensitive data. We continuously develop our services while leveraging the latest software tools, cloud-native, automation, orchestration, and monitoring technologies. You are required to set up and develop security solutions for databases at our customers’ premises on a daily basis. Thanks to you, the service meets its business objectives and can be extended to more customers.

Your profile

  • Good database know how, preferably in Oracle or MSSQL
  • Experience in database administration (Oracle/MSSQL) is a plus
  • Knowledge of UNIX and Python would be an advantage
  • Solution-seeking mindset and ability to make sense of complex problems
  • Comfortable learning new technologies and working on many different tasks and priorities in parallel
  • Good communication skills for stakeholder management in English or German; French is a plus
  • Knowledge of database security, esp. GDPR
  • Good facilitation skills, i.e. for workshops
