As a Data Analyst in our Bioanalytics department, you will have the opportunity to further improve the annotation of untargeted mass spectrometry dataset using our internal library and to run statistical analysis in various projects.

A Day in the Life of a Research Assistant Data analyst in the Metabolomics group

  • Improve and develop algorithms to automatically annotate and visualize mass spectrometry features by using our internal library
  • Analyze mass-spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy-based metabolomics data sets
  • Work in collaboration with other scientists and present research findings and methods to project team and stakeholders and consolidate results in reports

What will make you successful

  • Hold a master or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field
  • Good programming skills are required, and previous experience with R (mandatory), Python (a plus), and Matlab
  • Experience in statistical analysis, untargeted metabolomics pre-processing methods and on using cloud-based computing platform (Azure)
  • Experience on working with multi-disciplinary research teams
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work collaboratively
