We are looking for Data Architect, to join as external consultant, one of our main customer in Geneva.

Overview of our customer Our customer is one of the largest independent energy trading groups in the world and operates through a global group of companies. Although mainly a physical oil trader, the Group is now broadly based – with active trading operations in gas, coal, power, non-ferrous metals, derivatives and sugar.
Essentially, they trade energy: they create markets for fuel products; they deliver cargoes, safely, on-specification and on-time; they provide extensive terminal and storage facilities; and they engineer innovative financing structures to the benefit of their customers.
Through a Foundation, they are also active in charitable funding to benefit severely deprived children in Asia, Africa, Latin America and CIS. Founded in Rotterdam in 1966, today the company has nearly 50 offices worldwide – with its largest operations in Geneva, Houston, London and Singapore.

Qualifications
– University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field
– Proven data modelling skills to translate business situations into data structures, proficiency in SQL
– At least 3 years’ experience in similar position(s), e.g. as a user-facing DB engineer
– Oracle Forms application development – minimum 5 years of experience
– Strong Oracle database knowledge (release from 18c)
– Entrepreneurial drive, ability to work independently as well as in a team
– Proactive and user-focused “make it work” mentality with a genuine interest in the functional as well as technical aspects of each challenge encountered; comfortable with daily release cycle model o
– Willingness to help and collaborate across teams
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Full proficiency communicating in English in a business context (verbally & in writing)
