We’re looking for a Data Engineer to:

  • expand our DB2 data layer to include additional booking locations all around the world and provide on-site support if required
  • build new data loads and improve existing ones to satisfy additional user needs, boost performance, and to comply with highest information security standards
  • stay on top of all the data loads & jobs and deliver reliable and up to date information to desk heads, risk managers, and senior management
  • empower your team colleagues working on business intelligence and data analytics to build fast and secure risk solutions

Your team
You’ll be working for the Data Analytics & Reporting team within Business Risk Services for Global Wealth Management. We are a small but growing team servicing hundreds of internal customers all around the world. We analyse data, business processes and requirements and build state-of-the-art dashboards and risk scoring solutions.

We believe that business, analytics, and IT skills have to be combined into one team to deliver the results our demanding clients require from us. We aim at delivering fast results while maintaining strategic focus, and favour prototyping over extensive analysis. We foster a culture of collaboration, honesty, and openness as this is the only way to succeed in our complex and demanding environment.

Your expertise

  • 3 or more years of work experience in data engineering
  • strong skills on business warehousing (e.g. SQL/DB2), ETL, and data modelling
  • strong analytical and conceptual skills and an ability to quickly navigate complex technical environments as well as focus on details
  • comfortable with challenging situations, you know that things can go differently than planned, and you keep a cool head amid unexpected problems.
  • committed to do whatever it takes to solve issues.
  • able to break down big chunks of work into digestible tasks, and to complete these tasks with self-discipline, high precision, and in an efficient manner
  • an effective team player, able to maintain good relationships with the broad range of stakeholders our team interacts with, and to adapt the language to your counterpart. You fully understand the importance of building trustful relationships within a large organization.
  • experience with business intelligence and reporting solutions like Tableau, PowerBI, or Microstrategy is a plus
