Pictet Asset Management (Pictet AM) manages the assets of some of the world’s largest institutions, financial intermediaries and their clients. Our culture welcomes independent thinkers and centers around investment excellence, a long-term perspective and a dedication to client service.

We are looking for a Data Scientist to strengthen our Tech-Insight (TI) team, within the Data, Analytics, and Tech platform. TI is responsible for exploring and exploiting structured and unstructured streams of data to gain new insights for investment managers. The successful candidate will join an agile and dynamic environment based in Geneva.

Your role
  • Evaluating data sources with high value added for our investment teams.
  • Analysing large unstructured and structured datasets to extract new insights.
  • Identifying patterns and signals that are suitable for product and business development.
  • Designing and implementing state-of-the-art statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Creating visualisation dashboards and software prototypes.

Your profile
  • A strong background in computer science is mandatory.
  • Fluent in Python (Pandas, Numpy, etc.).
  • Experience with statistical modelling, through previous work experience or academic projects.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate your results to non-technical audiences.
  • A humble team player with a positive attitude who also feels comfortable working as part of a global team.
  • You have a deliver-first mindset and agile working pattern.
  • Perfect command of English.
  • Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools and languages (Tableau, D3.js, etc.) would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and/or Deep Learning would be a plus.
